| Friday 18-Sunday 20 April 2008 | Spring Weekend, Elan Valley Lodge, Powys | We are visiting a new area in Wales, and with leaders provided and walks organised for us, we hope to explore the region in the best possible way. The Lodge has won a 5-star award. Full board, en-suite accommodation will be provided for £113 per head. Contact Rosemary Kellock for a booking form. | Saturday 26 April 2008 | Hotpot supper on the 'Judith Mary' | The 'Judith Mary' barge is moored at Whaley Bridge wharf. Meeting there at 5.00pm we shall embark on a short canal trip, with a traditional hotpot supper, followed by apple pie, served around 5.30 to 6.00pm. | Sunday 8th June 2008 | Coach trip - Nidderdale & Harrogate | This year we shall be going to a new area in Yorkshire. There will be A abd B walks around the Pateley Bridge area. For those who prefer a more leisurely day, there will be the opportunity to be dropped off in Harrogate to spend the day around the town, or take a leisurely stroll or bus to Harlow Carr RHS gardens. Meet New Mills Newtown Station car park at 7.30am (7.15am Whaley Bridge). Price per person £11 to be paid in advance. | Saturday 21st June 2008 | Yorkshire Sculpture Park | Meet at New Mills Newtown Station car park at 9.00am, where own transport will be used to travel to Yorkshire (approximately 1 hour drive). There will be an optional 7 mile walk through the park and into the surrounding countryside. There is a shop, gallery and tearoom at the Centre. Entry free, but £4 car parking charge. | Friday 24th - Sunday 26th October 2008 | Autumn Weekend, Longmynd Hotel, Church Stretton | We are returning to this Hotel by popular request. The area around Church Stretton is interesting for both walking and sightseeing. There will be A and B walks organised for both days. Price per person - £125 for a double room, £135 for a single room for the weekend. The package includes dinner, bed and breakfast, with packed lunches available at extra cost.
